As usual life gets in my way and I haven’t updated my process since my last Blog! Since then I have lost
19 POUNDS and I am still working on it. So let me share with you the Prep Phase and later I will go into the diet itself that
Hayden House of Healing had me on.
First I had to fill out an “Intake Form”. The Intake Form helps you to be more successful with detoxing and losing weight. It helps identify if you need adrenal, thyroid, neuro-toxins and estrogen dominance support. This helps determine what, if any supplements (which of course I needed) you may need to help with the detox and weight loss program.

The Prep Phase is designed for the client to be more successful and to have optimum weight loss once on the program. The prep phase helps start to bring the body into balance by starting the detox process with the Liver/Gallbladder where a lot of toxins are stored. Once cleansed it promotes a healthier weight loss. Other prep items that a client does helps nourish the adrenals, thyroid and balance the hormones because if these areas are being fed properly then the client will have an increase in energy and well-being for the body to be more successful to lose the weight. This is why the Rejuvenation is so successful it supports the whole body so that the client detoxes the hypothalamus more effectively which signals to the body to release the stored fat. This phase is tailored to areas of the body that the client needs nourishment and support.
The Prep Phase is also excellent for clients who have put a lot of processed sugar, soda and fast foods in their body as it will decrease the cravings of this and improve overall energy
For a week I was to be on the Prep Phase which consists of;
Adrenal Cocktail (twice a day)
Liver/Gall Bladder Detox (Morning only)
A Large Carrot everyday (This will help pull estrogen out of your liver since I showed some estrogen dominance and past cancer project with the intake form)
Organic Food
So I set up and bought my organic food and ingredients and was absolutely amazed at how
EXPENSIVE organic food is! Why is that? It is the natural way of eating without all of the toxins. What a screwed up system we have. Maybe we should encourage organic farmers more and penalize that the farmers that put so much chemicals in our food. Alright, enough of my personal view….
One thing I notice from both the organic meats and vegetables was the improvement in flavor and texture of the meats, even my daughter enjoys them now.
Every morning before you get out of bed I had to take my temperature and pulse then weight myself. The temp and pulse is to check my adrenals and thyroid. Needless to say weighing me is to keep myself in check!
Then it was off to the kitchen for the
Adrenal Cocktail (YUCK!). Thank goodness it is made it a shot glass! I am to take this first thing in the morning during the prep phase and a ½ hour to an hour before going to bed.
Supplement wise I was taking a scoop of vitamin C mixed with water, #13 & # 7 (first 4 days 1 pill each then up it to 2 pills each)
Then I fixed the
Liver/Gall Bladder Detox Tea which I LOVED! Ingredients did not sound great but all combined I really enjoyed it and was sad I could not continue it through the diet.
Every morning 16oz of water with the juice of a fresh lemon (organic of course)
Mid-morning a piece of organic fruit (apple, grapefruit, strawberries or oranges)
Lunch a vegetable and protein
Whole Food Supplement with Trace Minerals
Mid-afternoon snack my carrot
Dinner a vegetable and protein (do not have the same type of protein as lunch if possible, helps you lose better) Supplement #13 (one)
In the Evening, that wonderful Adrendal Cocktail, supplement #7 and Life 5 before bed.
I need to drink at least 64oz of water a day and at least 2 bowel movements a day (which Tally stressed was very important)
She also suggested not using any over the counter body and face lotion if possible during the detox session since they are heavy in additional chemicals. She suggested 1 Table spoon of Coconut oil to moisturize my body which I must admit I thought she was nuts. How would 1 tablespoon be enough with the dry skin that I have, but it worked and I love it. My complexion actually got better too! I still use it. (Nutiva Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is available at Whole Foods)
I ended up being on the detox phase for 2 weeks since I started my period a week early.
What I notice during this stage was more energy, observing more of what I was eating and eating more since I had a very bad habit of eating once a day. Which actually was the hardest for me, eating! I had to setup a check list for my self and used my cell phone alarm to remind me to eat.
